Missions Trips

As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country.

Proverbs 25:25

Since 2017, our College and Career Sunday school class, led by Brother Mike Ruiz, has been privileged to visit foreign countries such as Panama, Dominican Republic, Mexico, and Hungary.  Church members such as Lester and Julie Wheeler have also had the opportunity to take part in an Amazon Med-Evangelism trip.  We thank the Lord for the doors He has opened to us.  It is our goal on these trips to both get to know our host missionaries personally and to help them in spreading God’s gift of salvation to those who have not yet received Jesus Christ as their Savior.

It is a humbling experience to witness the cultural differences and living conditions of these countries in comparison to that of the United States.  We must always be thankful for what God has provided our nation and be in constant prayer over our missionaries’ wisdom and protection as they adapt and live in each of these cultures different to their homeland.

Higher Plain Baptist Church is grateful to take part in financially supporting our missionaries across the world, but it brings a different perspective to live with the missionaries themselves, even if just for a short time.  These trips have truly knit hearts together of fellow believers that would have never otherwise crossed paths except for Christ.

Thank you to all who have faithfully supported our efforts over the years.  Please see the following links to give you a taste of the blessing these trips have been to us:
