PURPOSE
Christian education is the only genuine education that exists. We find, ” The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge.” Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the Lord and obedience to the truth is paramount to Christian education.
Our purpose at HPCA is to train godly young people for the cause of Christ. Since the Lord requires a vessel fit for service, we have definitive guidelines for dress, personal habits, and leisure that are based upon Bible principles.
Students will be taught and expected to practice integrity, honesty, a work ethic, self-control, self-discipline, and a respect and honor for the rights and property of others. These Bible principles of life shall be integrated into every aspect of our school program giving our students a system of absolutes. By proper example we leave situation ethics no place to exist.
The Bible is taught daily through classroom instruction, Scripture memorization, and chapel services where students are challenged to serve God with their lives.
AT HPCA, academics are our next priority and are now enhanced with our goal of Christ-centeredness. Each class is staffed with a teacher who is a professional and God-called. Every level stresses the basics of reading, writing, spelling, vocabulary, grammar, math, history, and science. Our program is further enhanced with such elective courses as computer, typing, home economics, physical education, accounting, foreign languages, home repair, the sciences and a music program that includes choir. The majority of our graduates do well on college entrance exams and successfully go on to college.
